Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up, we store your email address, a display name, a username, and — if you use Google Sign-In — your name and profile photo from Google. If you sign up with email/password, your password is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication (Google); we never see or store it ourselves.

Content you save. The links you save (URL, title, description, preview image, favicon), any personal notes you add, and the boards you organize them into.

AI-generated data.When an AI assistant reads and discusses a saved pin (see "How the AI features work" below), it may write back a status flag, topical tags, or — occasionally — a summary or extracted text for that pin.

Technical data.Standard infrastructure logs from our hosting providers (IP address, request timing, error logs) — the same operational logs any web host keeps. The public website also uses Google Analytics 4 in a cookieless configuration (see "Cookies and local storage" below); we don't run advertising trackers.

AITerest's AI reading/discussion feature works through a controlled API gated by a private credential unique to your account. When you (or an AI agent you've authorized) use this feature, it can read your saved pins' content, discuss them with you in that conversation, mark pins as read, add tags, and create new boards on your behalf. This access is scoped to your own account only — it cannot read or modify other users' data.

We do not sell your saved content to third parties or use it to train models outside of your own AI sessions.

Boards and pins can each be public or private, and your whole profile has a master visibility switch. When your profile is set to public, your username, display name, bio, and any public boards/pins are visible on the public website and may be indexed by search engines. When set to private, none of your content is shown publicly, regardless of individual board/pin settings. Private content is only ever readable by your own account and, for saved pins, by the trusted server-side systems described above — never by other users.

Account and content data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) — Authentication, Firestore (database), and Storage. The public website is hosted on Netlify; the app is hosted on Firebase Hosting. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and compliance programs; we don't hand your data to anyone beyond what's needed to run the Service.

When you save a link, our server briefly fetches that page to extract a preview (title, description, image) — the same way a chat app generates a link preview. We don't send your personal information to the sites you save; only the URL itself is requested, with no cookies or identifying headers beyond a generic identifying user agent.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The app uses browser local storage to keep you signed in (via Firebase Authentication), which is required for the Service to function.

The public website uses Google Analytics 4 in a cookieless configuration: Google Consent Mode is set to deny all storage (analytics, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization), so no analytics or advertising cookies are set. What comes back is aggregate and anonymized — IP addresses are truncated — and we use it only to understand which pages people visit.

The optional AITerest Chrome extension exists solely to save the page you're viewing to your boards. When you save — from the toolbar popup or the on-page save button — it reads that page's URL, title, and preview metadata and sends them to the same Firebase backend described above. That is the only time page content is read: the extension never collects your browsing history, and pages you don't save are never transmitted anywhere.

Signing in uses Google's browser identity flow (Firebase Authentication). Your session token — and the saved position of the floating save button — live in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. The extension's use of data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

• Request full account/data deletion by emailing info@clutchdeveloper.com — there is no self-service delete-account button yet

AITerest isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
